My research focusses on sustainable construction and building stock. Lower carbon footprint building materials, more efficient buildings that promote wellbeing of the occupants. At SBRC we do full scale testing of building elements: facades, walls, roofs and floors. We host the largest hotbox facility in Australia. SBRC is also home to two Solar Decathlon Houses: The Illawarra Flame House which won the 2013 SD China Contest and The Desert Rose House which came second at SDME2018 in Dubai.
