Steven D. Theiss

Steven D. Theiss received the B.S. degree in physics from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 1988, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 1993 and 1995, respectively. He held post-doctoral appointments with Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA, and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Livermore, CA, USA. He is currently an Advanced Research Specialist with the Corporate Research Materials Laboratory, 3M Company, Saint Paul, MN, USA. He holds 27 U.S. and corresponding international patents (18 granted U.S. patents) and has authored 22 publications. His current research interests include soft magnetic materials for applications in the electronics and energy area.
