I hold the Charles T. Wethington Jr. Endowed Chair in the Health Sciences and currently serves as Chair, Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health. I earned her B.A. in Accounting at Dordt College (Sioux Center, Iowa, 1987) and my Ph.D. in Economics at Vanderbilt University (Nashville, Tennessee, 1992). My research focuses on health care financing and health policy. I am especially interested in innovations in health care delivery and payment, and have several funded research projects that focus on the implementation and impact of “value based payment” polices.
