Dr.Zobeck is currently a Research Soil Scientist(GS-15)in the USDA-ARS,Wind Erosion and Water Conservation(WEWC)Research Unit ofthe Cropping Systems Research Laboratory at Lubbock. TX. His research assianment is to assess wind erosion impact on air quality and soils and determine the effects of cropping systems on soil quality for agricultural uses and selected soil properties needed to optimize productivity and develop sustainable agricultural systems.Specifically,Dr. Zobeck works on two Level 1 projects.One project focuses on soil management for sustainable agricultural systems that prevent wind erosion and enhance the environment. The second project is designed to develop and evaluate models and methods that use limited water resources efficiently to maintain economically viable deficit irrigated and dryland agricultural production systems. Dr. Zobeck is nationally and internationally recognized for his research in soil productivity and management and in aeolian processes and wind erosion science,and surface soil properties related to wind erosion as shown by many invitations to international and national meetings, committees, research planning conferences and his appointments as associate editor for three internationally respected journals associated wth his research re d.she has authored or co-authored over 1 70 pub ications and has a Scopus H-Index of21with over 1590 total citations in over 1090 documents.
