In this book, Professor Kim tried to analyze the Tang Code according to the modern criminal law system to reveal who the law is ultimately for and what social order and values are protected. This research was the first attempt by Professor Kim, and it can be said that it is an achievement that has set a milestone in the study of the history of law at the time.
