Thomas W. Fox

Thomas Fox received the Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees in electrical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA, in 1989 and 1990, respectively. He is currently a fellow of CPU Architecture with Luminous Computing, CA, USA, and was previously a Senior Engineer and a Manager of VLSI Design with the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY. He has coauthored several technical publications and holds over 25 patents in U.S., Germany, and Japan. His studies encompassed electrical communications and computer communication networks. His work has included the architecture and design of 3-D graphics geometry and rasterization accelerators, floating-point arithmetic algebraic and transcendental functions, server processor decode and instruction sequencing units, machine-learning accelerators, and quantum processors for arbitrary waveform generation. Mr. Fox has received numerous IBM awards for technical achievement.
