Bio
With an experience of 17 years in the area of management teaching & research, Swati Singh’s expertise is on biodiversity preservation, societal interface and sustainable consumer & entrepreneurial approach in the global market. Her research interests include sustainable tourism, applied social psychology on brand love in the context of luxury and masstige products, organic market-consumer interface, body image consciousness, and wine approach-engagement in emerging economies. Her research publications are in leading International reputable peer-reviewed journals. In 2021, she won the Best Presenter award at Brawijaya International Conference on Economics, Business and Finance, Bali.
Dr Swati Singh’s role as a researcher involves guiding her research scholars from leading universities including Mumbai University, SNDT University and AIIMA-AMU in producing and disseminating high-quality research for the benefits of society and policy-makers at large.
She serves as Review Editor for the International Journal- Frontiers in Sustainable Tourism and as a reviewer for more than 20 peer-reviewed journals including several high category brand, tourism, wine, service marketing, and environmental management journals. She disseminates her research findings at national and international conferences, workshops and seminars.
As a Professor & Associate Dean, she is actively involved in teaching at accredited world-renowned universities. She has been a visiting professor at China West Normal University, China and is a 'Research Scientist' at University of Kassel, Germany in the field of Sustainability and International Marketing wherein she collaborates on various research publications & research projects, takes international lectures and organizes workshops in Germany. She has also done a funded project sponsored by DFG Germany on "Solid Waste Management in India'' as part of this collaboration.
Swati is Mumbai University recognised faculty and is currently based at Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai, India. An IIM Ahmedabad Alumni, she is NET qualified and holds a doctorate from University of Lucknow. Her selected specialties include Brand Management; Sustainable Marketing; and Fashion & Luxury Retailing. She also chairs the ‘Leadership Immersion Program’, an international student exchange program in partnership with universities across the globe.
