Sung-Hye Park

I work as a professor at the Department of Pathology and the Institute of Neuroscience at Seoul National University College of Medicine. My areas of expertise include neuropathology, pediatric pathology, molecular pathology, and diagnostic electron microscopy. As of 2021, I hold the position of director of the Department of Pathology at Seoul National University Children's Hospital and head of the brain bank at Seoul National University Hospital. Throughout my career, I have served as the representative of various study groups, including the Korean Society of Neuropathology Study Group, the Korean Society of Pediatric Pathology Study Group, and the Korean Society of Diagnostic Electronic Microscopy Study Group. Additionally, I have held the role of chairman of the academic committee of the Korean Society of Pathologists (KSP). I have also contributed to the Korean Society of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology and the Korean Society of Neurodegenerative Diseases as the president. Currently, I serve as the chairman of the steering committee for Professor Ji Je-Geun's Neuroanatomy Courses organized by the Korean Medical Association. From 2019 to 2021, I served as a vice president of the World Federation of Society of Neuro-Oncology (WFNO). I am serving as a vice president of the International Society of Neuropathology (ISN) and I am an executive member of the Asian Oceanian Society of Neuropathology and serve as an editorial board member for Neuropathology and Brain Tumor Research and Treatment journals. I have been a member of cIMPACT-NOW Utrech and a co-author of cIMPACT-NOW Update 6. Furthermore, I have co-authored "The WHO Classification of CNS Tumors, revised 4th and 5th edition" and "The WHO Classification of Endocrine and Neuroendocrine Tumors, 5th Edition."
