Sudeep Kumar

Sudeep Kumar currently works at the Center for Immunology and Microbial Disease, Albany Medical College. Sudeep has more than 12 years of research experience in microbiology and immunology. In due course, he has investigated various vaccine platforms including live attenuated, whole cell killed vaccines and subunit vaccine. His research has shown that by targeting antigens to antigen presenting cells, the immunogenicity of subunit vaccines can be enhanced so much so that no adjuvants are required to achieve an antibody dependent protective immune response against Streptococcus pneumoniae. His current research interests include vaccine development, mucosal vaccines, vaccine adjuvants, and vaccine delivery platforms.
