个人简介
His research has encompassed all of the commercially active solar cell technologies including amorphous thin film and crystalline Silicon supported by both Department of Energy and industry funding. This included studies of device processing, device characterization, and accelerated stability. He is currently working on the application of microgrids and smart inverters to increase the contribution of solar on the grid while also increasing grid stability. Other projects include building a small outdoor solar array using cutting edge bifacial module technology and battery storage for research and education. Collaboration with colleagues in the Energy and Environmental Policy Department produced analysis of economics of roof-top solar in Newark and Wilmington and policies to promote Community Solar for low and moderate income neighborhoods in Delaware.
