Stephen A Wootton

Dr Wootton is Associate Professor in Nutrition in Medicine at Southampton. He is acknowledged as one of the principal nutrition educators in the UK in the training of nutritionists, doctors and other health professionals and in the professional development of those with a nutrition interest within clinical care, public health and research. His research explores how differences in nutritional state influences the risk of developing disease, the resilience to disease and the response to therapy. In December 2018, he was appointed by the Queen as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the New Years Honours for services to Nutrition and to Physical Exercise.
