个人简介
Professor Stephen Rogerson leads a research group in the Doherty Institute studying the pathogenesis and immunity of Plasmodium falciparum malaria. His group has a particular focus on understanding the development of protective antibody immunity against malaria and characterising protective responses, with a view to generating future malaria preventives and therapeutics. Professor Rogerson is a senior member of the Department of Infectious Diseases, and coordinates the Department’s graduate research program.
His other interests include the treatment and prevention of malaria in pregnancy and young children. He leads or collaborates on trials in Papua New Guinea and Malawi on malaria prevention in pregnant women. His work has been supported by the NHMRC , the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the National Institute of Health.
