Durual Stéphane

Stéphane Durual has an extensive experience with the culture and analysis of human primary cells from various tissues. He is also experienced in bioceramics 3D-printing and with animal models for the assessment of osseoconduction or osseointegration. He recently developed a new research line aimed at engineering oral soft tissues. He is the author of 59 papers (h index 23, 1652 citations), the head investigator of a project of endosseous implantology in minipigs (ITI grant 659-2009), a project of bone regeneration (Boninchi foundation, Osteology grant 18-049) and co-author/coordinator of two SNF projects aimed at characterizing oxynitride coatings for endosseous implants (SNF grants CR32I2_137739 and CR32I2_156295.) During the last years, he has developed and characterized different types of novel bone substitutes (e.g., in collaboration with the companies RegenHU and GEISTLICH PHARMA).
