She has clinical and research interest in acute cardiac disease, especially in women (e.g. pregnancy, SCAD, acute heart failure) and patients with cancer. She is responsible for the Coronary Care unit in the University Hospital of Ghent, Belgium where she is involved in several interdisciplinary clinics: pregnant patients with cardiac disease, patients with acute aortic disease, TAVI patients, patients with cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest patients, in order to provide excellent patient care.
