S. Severi

Simone Severi received the M.Sc. degree from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, in collaboration with IMEC, Belgium, in 2006. In 2007, he joined IMEC, focusing on the process integration of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and in 2009 appointed as MEMS Team Leader. In 2012, he joined Life Science Technology Department, IMEC and started to focus his attention on biosensors and ufluidic devices for medical applications. In 2020, he was the Department Director, process technology responsible for life science, MEMS specialty sensors, and GaN power electronics. He is currently the Life Sciences Program Director. He has authored or coauthored more than 100 papers and has 10 granted patents.
