Simone Sauer

I currently work at IUEM on a project using silicon isotopes of water column and sediment samples from the Southern Ocean to better understand the Si cycle. I am also interested in the geochemistry of methane seeps (pore water, sediment and methane-derived authigenic carbonates) to determine gas sources and seepage history mostly in Arctic regions. I furthermore have a project on pore water Sr isotope variations in various IODP cores to determine fluid sources and fluid-sediment interactions.
