Shukichi Tanaka

Shukichi Tanaka received the Ph.D. degree in physics from Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, in 1996. After working as a Research Fellow with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science as a Research Assistant, then as an Associate Professor with the Department of Physics, Saga University, and finally as a Research Fellow with the Department of Condensed Matter Physics, University of Geneva, he joined the Communications Research Laboratory (now NICT) in 2002. Currently, he is a Research Manager in Nanoprocess and Molecular Nanodevice Technologies, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Kobe, Japan. His specialties are in nanotechnology, the physics of material science, and biomaterials applications. He is an invited Associate Professor with the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, Osaka, Japan.
