Seyedfakhreddin (Koorosh) Nabavi was born in Hamedan, Iran, in 1991. He received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in biomedical engineering (bioelectric) from the Sahand University of Technology, Tabriz, Iran, in 2013, the M.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Ozyegin University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, NL, Canada, in April 2019.
He is currently a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada. Before joining the McGill University, he held a post-doctoral position with the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montreal, a constituent of the University of Quebec, where he was working on developing the micro-opto-electro mechanical systems (MOEMS) in collaboration with AEPONYX Inc. His research interests include the design and modeling of MEMS transducers and actuators for industrial and biomedical applications and the design of analog circuits, such as sensor interfaces and power management systems. He has served as an Invited Reviewer for multiple scholarly journals and conferences, such as the IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering and the IEEE SENSORS Conference. He has been identified as a Top Reviewer of Applied Physics Letters (APL) in 2018.
