Experimental and theoretical research in mesomechanics of polymer composite materials
Basic research results
The Laboratory of Polymer Composite Materials developed an original software package for static and quasistatic analysis of the stress-strain state of a representative volume of material or articles made thereof under various thermal loads and forces. The software package was successfully used in research on the following subjects:
Effective characteristics of polymer composites, including those in the range of geometric and physical nonlinearity, from data on the phase composition, properties, and interaction
Parameters of strain localization and stress concentration in the vicinity of dispersed hard inclusions
Effect of artificial defects (microcracks) in a polymer matrix on the strain properties of polymer composites
Effect of the adhesion properties of the "matrix - inclusion" interface on the effective properties of polymer composites
Effect of the substrate relief on the stress-strain parameters of polymer coatings under normal and tangential loads.
