I am currently doing a PhD project from University of Cagliari in which I am developing new solar cells with different types of Perovskites. In fact, I make the materials using innovative techniques and then deal with their chemical and physical analysis. In the first year, I focused my activities on the synthesis of Single Crystal Perovskites, both 3D and 2D, and their possible application in the field of developing innovative solar cells. I'm currently doing an internship at the IMEC company during the period abroad contemplated by my PhD. I obtained my Master's degree from the University of Turin in July 2021 (curriculum: Advanced Technologies). During my thesis work, my experimental activity was focused on the development of an integrated diamond device (with 16 microelectrodes) for electrochemical measurements in order to monitor the cellular secretion of PC12 . During the experimental activity I was able to make twenty samples, which were subjected to different thermal and electrochemical treatments. By means of various software (Labview, OriginLab, Excel, etc.), I was able to extrapolate and analyse the data necessary to verify the correct functioning of all 16 channels. I then subjected the device, with the PC12 cells plated on the surface of the sample, to measurements of spontaneous secretion and induced secretion using X-ray irradiation. From the interface in Labview I was able to record the signal of the individual channels and made amperometric measurements to monitor cell secretion using the Igor5 software. I then characterised the secretion frequency and other relevant quantities using OriginLab. Thanks to this experience, which was carried out as part of a team, I developed excellent communication and organisational skills and learned quickly in the field.
