Sebastian Karpf is a Juniorprofessor at the Institute for Biomedical Optics (BMO), University of Luebeck. His works involve development of novel laser sources and imaging setups for biomedical applications. These include the time-encoded (TICO) technology for stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy, Raman assisted multi-color laser sources, Two-Photon imaging with nanosecond lasers, Fluorescence Lifetime imaging with single-pulse per pixel excitation and high-speed non-linear and linear imaging based on the SLIDE technology (spectro-temporal lifetime imaging by digitally-sculpted excitation).
