Based on dedicated patient care, I have contributed to the development of vascular medicine as an area of interest within Internal Medicine. Specific knowledge areas are atherosclerosis, lipids, vasculitis, cardiovascular risk management and patient self-management. My current research focuses on innovation in hospital care, with an emphasis on new forms of care provision, communication and logistics. Specific topics include continuous monitoring, telemonitoring and datadriven care.
