Scott B. Maresh Nelson

My research focuses on the ecology and conservation of grassland birds in North America. In my current postdoc, I explore the current and projected impacts of climate change on grassland birds and their habitats in the Great Plains, as well as management strategies to adapt to these changes. In my PhD, I focused on expanding our basic understanding of how avian habitat preferences improve reproduction, with an additional applied focus on invasive plant impacts on birds and cattle forage.
