RESEARCH SUMMARY
Dr Schwarzkopf is the director of the Research Center for the Adult Reconstruction Division. Dr. Schwarzkopf’s research interest includes both clinical and basic science. He has published studies on topics ranging from hip fracture fixation to outcomes of total hip replacements. Dr. Schwarzkopf has received a young investigator grant from the Orthopaedic Research and Education Fund to explore patients' risk aversion from new technologies in total joint replacement. Dr. Schwarzkopf is involved in outcome research in total joint replacement and total joint biomechanics research​ at NYU and is a member of both the prestigious Hip Society and Knee Society.
