Satyendra N. Biswas

Satyendra N. Biswas (M’98) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronic engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1991, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Yamaguchi University, Yamaguchi, Japan, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He is a Professor and the Chairman with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka. He was a Research and Development Engineer with General Cybernetics, Toronto, ON, Canada. From 2003 to 2005, he was a Researcher with the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada. He was an Assistant Professor of electrical engineering with Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA, USA, from 2005 to 2009. He served as an Associate Professor with Norfolk State University, Norfolk, VA, USA. He was a Visiting Professor with Kaziranga University, Assam, India, in 2012. He has published about 100 technical papers in reputed journals and refereed conference proceedings. His current research interests include very large-scale integration circuit design and testing, data compression in built-in self-testing, dynamic image/video processing, and reconfigurable computing. Dr. Biswas is a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the American Association for Advancement of Science and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers.
