Sandra J. Shefelbine

Sandra J. Shefelbine received the B.S.E. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, USA, in 1997, the M.Phil. degree in engineering design from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, U.K., in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, in 2002. She is an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and also with the Department of Bioengineering, Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA. Her work uses computational models, in vivo experiments, and clinical observation to understand musculoskeletal pathologies.
