Bio

Shoichiro Yokota received his Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Science from the University of Tokyo, Japan. He has been developing spaceborne ion and neutral mass spectrometers, and has also been active in the data analysis of the instruments, as in the KAGUYA (SELENE) mission. He is now serving as PI of MSA for MMX (Martian moons exploration) mission. Additionally, he is responsible for the development of a high-resolution multi-turn time-of-flight mass spectrometer named MULTUM for future missions.
