DR. S.M. HUSSAIN, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., is presently working as Professor and Head in the Department of Geology, University of Madras, India, since 1st July, 2018. He has completed Ph.D. in Geology (1992) from University of Madras. He has 31 years of research experience in the field of Micropaleontology (having expertise on Ostracoda) and published 82 research papers and 10 book chapters. Under his guidance, 12 scholars are awarded Ph.D. Degrees and 25 M.Phil Degrees. He has visited 9 overseas countries.
