He has worked on the design and implementation of PowerVM memory management and virtualization for POWER5, POWER6, POWER7, POWER8, and POWER9 with 35 patents issued. In previous assignments, he has worked on memory management in IBM i. Mr. Jacobs received a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and a master's degree in software engineering from the University of Minnesota.
