个人简介
Shlomi Haar is an Edmond and Lily Safra Research Fellow at the Department of Brain Sciences and a UK DRI Emerging Leader at the UK Dementia Research Institute Care Research & Technology Centre. His research interests are in human body movement, motor control, motor learning, and motor decline.
His research philosophy is bridging the gap between the insights from lab-based constrained tasks and the translational potential in real-life. To that end, he does Real-World Neuroscience – studying full-body human movement and brain activity during real-world tasks and free behaviour, using mobile brain and body imaging.
Dr Haar's research program aims for a better understanding of the effects of different treatments for Parkinson's disease (PD) on the system level (beyond improving symptoms), and specifically the neurobehavioural mechanisms of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in PD.
