Sandra C. Hernandez

Sandra C. Hernández received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in chemical engineering from the University of California Riverside, Riverside, CA, USA, in 2005, 2007, and 2011, respectively. Her graduate work involved the synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic nanomaterials for sensor applications as well as the electro-deposition of thin films for magnetic recording applications. She is currently an NRC Post-Doctoral Fellow with the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, Plasma Physics Division. Her current research interests include the surface modification of graphene and related materials by plasma functionalization for device and sensor applications.
