Bio
Ruirui Chen (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2010, and the M.S. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA, in 2020, all in electrical engineering.
From 2013 to 2015, he was an Electrical Engineer with FSP-Powerland Technology Inc., China. Since 2020, he has been a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the University of Tennessee. His research interests include wide-bandgap devices and applications, medium-voltage power electronics, cryogenic power electronics, multilevel converters, conducted EMI, and high-efficiency high-power density converters for electric propulsion, electrified transportation, and grid applications.
