His main research concerns Photochemistry, Radical, Biochemistry, Spin trapping and Adduct. His Photochemistry research includes themes of Semiquinone, Peroxidase, Horseradish peroxidase, Oxygen and Cumene hydroperoxide. His Radical research includes elements of Electron paramagnetic resonance, Glutathione, Medicinal chemistry and Hydrogen peroxide.
His Biochemistry study deals with Pharmacology intersecting with Enzyme, Isoprostanes and Immunology. As part of one scientific family, Ronald P. Mason deals mainly with the area of Spin trapping, narrowing it down to issues related to the Methyl radical, and often Homolysis. His Adduct study combines topics from a wide range of disciplines, such as Radical ion, Dimethyl sulfoxide and Stereochemistry.
