Roland Bless (Member, IEEE) received the Diploma degree in computer science from the University of Karlsruhe, in 1996, the Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) degree in the realm of quality of service management, in 2002, and the Habilitation degree from the Computer Science Department of Informatics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), in 2009. Since 1998, he has been contributing internet standardization with IETF. He is currently an Assistant Professor and a Senior Researcher with the Group of Prof. Zitterbart, Institute of Telematics, KIT. His current research interests include autonomous control planes for 6G and future networks, scalable zero-touch routing protocols, and congestion control. He is a member of Gesellschaft für Informatik, ACM SIGCOMM, IEEE ComSoc, and ISOC.
