个人简介
Rodman began his career in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and theoretical turbulence modeling in LANL’s Theoretical Fluid Dynamics group in 1990 working with Francis Harlow. This work provided the foundations for Dr. Linn’s research in the areas of coupled fire/atmosphere behavior, which began in 1995, and subsequently urban fire conflagrations, plume behavior, coupled ecosystem/atmosphere modeling and turbine/atmosphere interactions. He was the principle investigator/developer for LANL’s 2003 R&D 100-winning physic’s-based wildfire model, FIRETEC. FIRETEC is coupled to LANL’s fully-compressible atmospheric dynamics tool HIGRAD.
