Bio
Robert Kimberk received the Aerospace Technology degree from the Wentworth Institute of Technology, Boston, MA, in 1979.
At the Harvard College Observatory, he was the Lead Engineer of the National Science Foundation (NSF)-sponsored MicroObservatory project, an array of five fully automated remotely controlled optical telescopes. During this time, he designed the optical and mechanical systems, as well as the coupled-charge device (CCD) camera electronics. At the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Harvard–Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, Cambridge, MA, he is involved with the SMA project, designing control electronics for the automated LOs, SIS bias, and antenna axis servo control. In addition, he is involved with the development of a laser-based millimeter-wave generation system.
