个人简介
Robert Dawsey received the A.Sc. degree in engineering science from
the State University of New York, Canton, NY, USA, in 1982, the B.Sc. degree in industrial economics from Union
College, Schenectady, NY, in 1984, and the M.Sc. degree in technology management from Pepperdine University, Malibu,
CA, USA, in 2003.
He has 27 years of experience in developing and commercializing advanced vehicle electrification technologies and
electric traction systems. He started his career at Hughes Aircraft Company, Radar Division, EI Segundo, California,
working on Airborne Radar Systems before transitioning his focus to electrified vehicles and traction systems. He has
worked on power electronics and electric motors at General Motors (GM), East Lansing, MI, USA, battery electric
vehicles starting with the EV1 in 1991. He also led the development of power electronics on the GM Allison Bus Hybrid
program. He led the development of the GM Fuel Cell Equinox traction system and bidirectional boost converter. He
currently manages the Global Electric Motor Design work with GM. His team is responsible for the design and
development of all electric motors used in GM's electrification portfolio. He holds 11 U.S. patents in the fields
of power electronics and electric motors.
