Richard A. Lewis, M.D., FAAN has been Associate Chair of Neurology since 1993. He is also co-Director of the Neuromuscular Program and of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Clinic and Director of the Hiller ALS Clinic and Research Center. He is on the national medical advisory boards of the Guillain Barré Syndrome/CIDP Foundation International and the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation and on the local Board of Directors of ALS of Michigan. He is on the steering committee of the International Inflammatory Neuropathy Consortium. He is on multiple editiorial boards and is the deputy editor for the Journal of the Neurological Sciences. Dr. Lewis’s research and clinical interests are in neuromuscular disorders and electromyography. He has lectured and written extensively on GBS and CIDP, Myasthenia Gravis, Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Disease. His research has been funded by the MDA, CMT Association, GBS/CIDP FI and pharmaceutical companies.
