My research interests are in the broad field of landscape ecology. I study the relationship between landscape heterogeneity and connectivity, and biodiversity, focusing on gamma and beta diversity, and on species functional traits. I also work on decision-making in landscape planning using spatial graphs for modelling habitat networks. Currently I look at the potential benefits of management diversification for biodiversity in boreal forest ecosystems.
