Rebecca Palmer received a first class bachelor's degree in linguistics and language pathology from the University of Reading, Reading, U.K., in 1999, followed by the Ph.D. degree in the treatment of dysarthria from the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K., in 2005. She is currently a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, Sheffield, U.K. Previous posts held include highly specialist speech and language therapist and rehabilitation trials manager for the NIHR Trent Stroke Research Network. Her primary research interest is the use of speech and language technology to assist improved communication of stroke survivors. Dr. Palmer is a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Health Professions Council.
