Raphael Adamietz was born in Wetzlar, Germany, in 1982. He received the Diploma degree in mechanical engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany, in 2018. From 2009 to 2012, he was a Research Associate with the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation, Stuttgart, where he has been a Project Manager since 2012. His current research interests include processes and machinery for microassembly and electronic packaging, adhesive bonding, microwave curing, novel automation concepts, the combination of additive manufacturing and microassembly technologies, and evolvable assembly systems.
