Rajiv Chopra received the Ph.D. degree in medical biophysics from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 2002. From 2006 to 2012, he was a Scientist at Sunnybrook Research Institute, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Biophysics, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, as an Assistant Professor. Since 2012, he has been with the Department of Radiology, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, USA, where he is an Associate Professor, and a CPRIT Scholar in Cancer Research. His research interests include development of image-guided therapies. In particular, he has focused on the biomedical applications of high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for thermal therapy.
