My lab has a longstanding interest and track record in the cross omics evaluation of renal allograft function and failure. Specifically, the molecular mechanisms of postischemic acute kidney injury (AKI) and cellular as well as humoral alloimmuneresponses in the clinical transplant setting have been studied extensively. Molecular candidates of AKI have been identified and studied in large randomized clinical trials in humans. We are currently elucidating the molecular effects of inhibition of some of the candidates as well as on the clinical outcomes of ARF.
