Since June 2019, Full Professor of Materials Science at the Engineering Department, Public University of Navarra - UPNA - School of Engineering. Formerly, Associate Lecturer (1993-2000) and Associate Professor (2001-2019). From 1989 to 2013, head of the AIN's Centre of Surface Engineering, an applied research group of about 20 researchers with a broad expertise in PVD coatings, ion implantation and other plasma based treatments, as well as in tribology and surface functionalization.
