Bio
Ryan J. Murphy (M'14) received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical
engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA, in 2015.
He is currently with the Biomechanical- and Image-Guided Surgical Systems Laboratory, part of the Laboratory for
Computational Sensing and Robotics. He is also a Senior Professional Staff Member with the Johns Hopkins University
Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, MD. His research interests include medical robots, robot and computer-assisted
surgery, robot kinematics and dynamics, systems and software engineering, and biomechanics.
