R. S. Gupta

R. S. Gupta (Life Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in physics, chemistry, and maths, and the M.Sc. degree in physics and electronics from Agra University in 1963 and 1966, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from IIT-BHU, Varanasi, India, in 1970. He is currently working as a Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, GGSIPU, New Delhi, India. He has served as a Reader and a Professor in Electronic Science with Delhi University South Campus, New Delhi, for decades of years. He has successfully completed around 30 funded research projects from esteemed organizations, like DRDO, AICTE, UGC, CSIR, and DST. He has been an expert for the evaluation of research (Ph.D.) thesis of various Indian universities. He has successfully produced more than 65 doctorates and guiding eight scholars under his supervision. He has one published patent and five registered copyrights. He has authored or coauthored more than 700 articles in various SCI international journals, and international and national conference of repute. His research specialization includes solid state electronics devices, VLSI design, and modeling of microelectronic devices, such as MOSFET, MESFET, and HEMT. He is a Life Fellow of IETE, a Life Member of the Semiconductor Society, and the Chairman of the Society for Microelectronics and VLSI. He has also served as the Chairman for the IEEE EDS Delhi Chapter. He is also a reviewer of various scientific journals and a member of organizing committees of various national/international conferences. He has organized various IEEE international and national conferences, and workshops under IEEE. He has been the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Microwave Conference in 2004 and a Secretary for the same conference in 1996. He served as the Chairman for the International Symposium on Microwave and Optical Technology in 2009 and a Secretary for the same conference in 1993.
