R. Dinesh Jackson Samuel

R. Dinesh Jackson Samuel (Member, IEEE) received the Bachelor of Engineering and the Master of Engineering degrees in computer science and engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2010 and 2013, respectively, and the Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, in 2019. He is a Research Fellow with the Department of Imaging Physics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and an Associate Lecturer with the Faculty of Technology, Design and Environment, Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, U.K., from 2019 to 2021. His research interests also span computer vision (with a focus on human activity detection), machine learning, human-centric, neuroscience-inspired artificial intelligence, surgical robotics, and autonomous driving.
