Qiyin Fang (M'02) received the B.S. degree in physics from Nankai University in 1995, and the M.S. degree in 1998 in applied physics and the Ph.D. degree in 2002 in biomedical physics, both from East Carolina University. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Physics, McMaster University, Hamilton, ON, Canada. Prior to his current position, he was a Research Scientist in the Biophotonics Research and Technology Development Laboratory at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. His research interests include optical spectroscopy and imaging for biomedical and clinical applications and ultrafast laser pulse interaction with biological systems.
