Pyong Kun Kim

Pyong-Kun Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1974. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, in 1997 and 1999, respectively. From 1999 to 2001, he was a Researcher with Sindo-Ricoh. Since 2002, he has been a Researcher with the Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute. He holds two patents about license plate recognition. His research interests include parameter estimation, automatic letter sorting machine, postal address processing, machine learning, license plate recognition, optical character recognition, object detection, and synthetic data generation.
