Prashanth C. Upadhya

Prashanth C. Upadhya received the M.Sc. degree in physics from Mangalore University, Mangalore, Karnataka, India, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Cambridge, in 2005, as a Commonwealth Scholar. He was a Researcher at the Microtron Accelerator Centre, Mangalore University, where he was engaged in research on radiation damage in semiconductor junction devices. He subsequently received the Commonwealth Research Scholarship in 2001 to pursue education in the United Kingdom. During his graduate studies, he employed ultra-broad-band transient terahertz spectroscopy to study low-energy dynamics in molecules and semiconducting materials. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, where he was engaged in research on magneto-optical experiments on low-dimensional structures, using ultrafast terahertz techniques. He is currently with the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM, where he is engaged in research on the measurement of carrier dynamics in semiconductor nanostructures. He is a coauthor of more than 25 peer-reviewed journal articles and one book chapter.
